Beautiful Day

It is a nice 70 degrees today. In fact its been that all week. Very unusual. The good news is the snow is almost gone. About 4 inches of ice left on the lake but it is melting very fast. I give it 4 more days of this and it will be gone. Three weeks ahead of the last two years. My boat is waiting for launch and to go after those fierce spring time Northerns. The Walleye are moving into the creeks for spawning and you can watch them at night with a flash light. You can understand why the season is closed now for them. You can pratically walk across the creek on them if you wanted too. We saw our first eagle today soaring over the lake and the grouse are thumping there chest everywhere. Moose & bear are a common sight daily. The geese are flying over on there way to there summer home along the James Bay Coastline.
