Trade Shows Start

Cedar Ridge Lodge kicked off its 2006 tour this week starting at the Spring Fishing Show at the International Center Feb 16-19 2006. Overall the show was down in numbers but we seemed to have done very well. It was our best show yet! We introduced our new "Summer Family Vacation Package" as well as two new hunting packages " Tikka Ridge Horseback Moose Hunt" and our "Ghost River Waterfowl/Walleye Combo Package" All our packages generated great interest. We want to thank everyone who stopped by the booth and a special thanks to our repeat guests who stopped by to book again or just say hi. Thanks Again!! Our next show starts this Friday at the International Center. It is the "Advil Outdoor Adventure Show" that runs until Sunday and our last show is "The Toronto Sportsmans Show" at the exibition grounds March 15 to 19th 2006. We have a double booth at the show and the number is 1032 & 1034. Feel free to stop by and say hi. Our lead guide, Adam Coghlin, (Pictured in booth) was onsite to answer many fly fishing and brook trout related questions as well as to share some of the secrets he uses on the water to land that monster Walleye or Big Northern.

More white stuff

Another 18 inches over the weekend. You can see Deek trying to get into the back kitchen door but he's not making out so well. The lakes have a ton of slush on them and are maiking it difficult to get out to the fishing holes. Lake trout opens next week and we are geering up for that. The Walleye and Northerns have been keeeping us entertained and sure help you get through the winter days. Still getting restless to hit the open water though.

Pounded with snow

As you can see, we are starting to accumulate a bit of the white stuff. They are talking about another 8 or so inchs in the next few days. Not many fish jumping in the lake. Could be that 3 feet of ice might have something to do with it. Starting to get the itch for fishing in open water. Thats dangerous seeing how we have 3 months left of this.
