Sunny & 75 Degrees

Another beautiful day today. Here are some pictures of the lake today. Breaking up sooner than my Sunday prediction. At this rate I think there wont be a spot of ice by morning. The wind has picked up moving the ice. Calling for rain the next few days so its gone for sure. Tuesday is a high of -2 C and snow. Great. Just what we want to see. Getting the boats ready today and waiting for launch. Cant wait to cast the first cast for the spring giant Northerns that are just comming off spawn. We dont keep any even though they taste awesome, well maybe one we'll keep but they sure are aggressive this time of year. Jump out of the water just like a b
ass. They tend to be bigger as well as the monsters are at the surface feeding on anything that moves. Then as the water warms the giants head into deeper water to feed on herring. Deke is pictured here saying hi to you all and waiting for you to come up and see him. Couldn't resisit throwing the stick in the water to see if he'd retreive. He did as any good dog would.Cedar Ridge Lodge
